Tennis Shut Out By Western Michigan

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The University of Akron tennis team dropped its third-straight match on Saturday, falling 7-0 at Western Michigan. The Zips close the first weekend of Mid-American Conference play 0-2, and are 4-10 overall this season.
Western Michigan (11-4, 2-0 MAC) allowed Akron to win more than one game in a set in just one match, including in doubles play, and held the Zips to love in six sets.
WMU is ranked 67th by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).
Next on the Akron schedule is three-straight home contests, starting with Buffalo on April 1 at LaTuchie Tennis Center.
