OXFORD, Ohio - The eighth-seeded University of Akron women's tennis team lost 4-0 to ninth-seeded Northern Illinois in the first round of the Mid-American Conference Championship on Thursday at Hepburn Varsity Tennis Courts on the Miami (Ohio) campus.
