Tennis Falls To Toledo, 6-1

AKRON, Ohio - The University of Akron tennis team dropped its fourth-straight match of the season on Friday, losing 6-1 to Toledo in a Mid-American Conference contest at LaTuchie Tennis Center.
Toledo (12-4, 3-1 MAC) opened the day with a sweep of the doubles point, and then posted straight-set wins at five of the six singles positions en rout to its second-consecutive victory of the season.
Akron (4-11, 0-3) scored its lone point at the No. 3 singles spot, where Jenna Larson (Bismarck, N.D./Century) defeated Viviana Rivero, 6-2, 6-2.
The Zips return to the court on Saturday, facing off against Eastern Michigan at 1 p.m. EDT at LaTuchie Tennis Center.
