Tennis Bounced At Eastern Michigan, 7-0

YPSILANTI, Mich. - The University of Akron tennis team lost 7-0 to Eastern Michigan in a Mid-American Conference dual match on Friday at Chippewa Club.
The loss was the Zips' sixth straight and dropped them to 9-10 overall and 0-6 in league play. The Eagles improved to 11-8 (3-2 MAC) and won their third straight, and fifth in the last six competitions.
The Eagles opened the afternoon by sweeping through doubles play, posting 8-2 wins at No. 1 and No. 3, and an 8-4 tally at No. 2. EMU then ran through the singles lineup by posting straight set victories at five of the six positions. UA's Alyssa Carlson pushed her No. 5 match-up into a third set, losing 6-2, 4-6, 10-4 to Emma Czarnecki.
Akron will look to rebound tomorrow when it plays at Toledo at 1 p.m. EDT.
