"The Scenic City Invitational was the perfect opener to our fall
season," first year head coach Nick
Goetze said. "The field was solid and Council Fire Golf Club
provided an excellent challenge. Although we did not capitalize on
our position after rounds one and two, I was pleased with the way
all of the guys hung in there."
Freshman Drew Davidson (Canton, Ohio/Canton Central Catholic),
participating in his first collegiate golf tournament, led the way
for the Zips ending tied for 26th place. He finished with 216
(75-68-73) strokes and ended round three two over par.
Junior Vaughn Snyder (Massillon, Ohio/Canton Central
Catholic) dropped five spots back from yesterday ending in 34th
place and finished second for the Zips hitting 218 (70-73-75)
strokes.

Gutowski (Copley, Ohio/Copley), struggled in the third round
and finished the tournament seven over par hitting a total of 220
(70-72-78) strokes.

sophomore Jacob Patte (Oshawa, Ontario/Eastdale Collegiate)
ended the tournament respectively hitting 221 (71-76-74) strokes
and 223 (72-75-76) strokes on the par-72, 6,999-yard course.

tournament with a 30-under par score of 822 (272-271-279). Corey
Nagy from host school The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga

203 (68-68-67).
