Men's Golf Preps for Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate

AKRON, Ohio-The University of Akron men's golf
team returns to action on Monday and Tuesday to take part in the
2008 Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate, Oct. 27-28, at the par 72,
7,074-yard New Mexico State University Golf Course.
Teams will play 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes in Tuesday's final round with the action teeing off with a shotgun start each day at 10:00 a.m. (EST). Complete results and a recap of each day's action will be available at www.golfstat.com and www.GoZips.com.
The field for the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate features 18 teams including Air Force, Utah, Miami-Ohio, Iowa State, Kansas State, UTEP, Nevada, New Mexico State, Denver, Nebraska, Ball State, Northern Colorado, Washington State, Cal-Poly, Idaho, Weber State and Colorado.
The Zips are coming off a one week layoff after finishing ninth
at the Xavier Invitational.
