Men's Golf Readies for Rutherford Intercollegiate

Akron, Ohio-The University of Akron men's golf team will travel to State College, Pa. this weekend to take part in the 32nd Annual Rutherford Intercollegiate hosted by Penn State University at the par-71, 7,202-yard Penn State Blue Course.
The tournament will begin with 36 holes of continuous play on Saturday with players teeing off from holes #1 and #10 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. The final 18 holes will be played on Sunday with participants teeing off from holes #1 and #10 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
This year's field consists of 12 teams including fellow Mid-American Conference schools, Ball State, Bowling Green, Miami (Ohio) and Ohio along with Binghamton, Francis Marion, Hartford, Richmond, St. Bonaventure, Wright State and host school Penn State.
Only Penn State and Wright State competed in the event last year
and only PSU, Francis Marion and Akron have recorded first place
tournament finishes this season.
