Men's Golf Returns To Xavier Invitational

AKRON, Ohio - For the fourth consecutive year, The University of Akron men's golf team will participate in the Xavier Invitational (Oct. 5-6) hosted by Xavier University at the Oasis Golf Club in Loveland, Ohio.
The Zips have continually posted high marks on the course finishing ninth of 20 last year at the event. It was current sophomore Ryan Mason who finished first for UA carding three rounds of 72-71-75 (218) to finish in 31st place, his then highest ever finish as a collegiate athlete.
The first 36 holes will be played on Monday with the final 18 played on Tuesday. Both days will begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. (EST) with Tuesday's pairing based on Monday's results.
This is the final tournament before the Zips return home for the Firestone Inviational (Oct. 12-13) to be held at the world renowned Firestone Country Club.
