Men's Golf in Ninth After Two Rounds

After two rounds of play at the 2009 Mid-American
Conference Championship, the University of Akron men's golf team
sits ninth carding a 610 (312-298) at the par-72, 6,994-yard
Brickyard Crossing Golf Club.
Freshman Scott Landreth (Stratford, Ontario/St. Michaels
Catholic) leads the Zips tied for eleventh overall shooting a
4-over 148 (75-73). Junior Jacob
Patte (Oshawa, Ontario/Eastdale Collegiate) falls second with a
152 (77-75) tied for 25th overall. After carding an 81 in the first
round, senior David Addison (Stewarton, Scotland/Stewarton
Academy) rebounded in round two posting eight strokes better for a
154.
Freshmen Tim Lew (Courtice, Ontario/Courtice Secondary)
and Ryan Mason (Bridgeport, W. Va./Bridgeport) round
out the Zips scorecard shooting a 156 (79-77) and 158 (81-77)
respectively.
Kent State leads the tournament carding a 574 (294-280) while KSU's
John Hahn leads individually with a 139 (71-68).
Round three will start Friday at 8:00 a.m. with the fourth and
final round taking place on Saturday. Full results will be posted
