Men's Golf Ready for Memphis Intercollegiate

The University of Akron men's golf team will travel to Memphis, Tenn., for the Memphis Intercollegiate on October 25-26 at the par- 72 7,334-yard Colonial Country Club.
This year's event features a 15-team field, with seven teams ranked in Golfweek's top-100. The Zips will face off against Arkansas State, Arkansas-Little Rock, Army, Iowa State (No. 87), Louisiana Tech (No. 73), Louisiana-Lafayette (No. 89), Marshall, Memphis (No. 72), Mercer, Missouri (No. 67), Southern Miss, South Alabama (No. 91), Tulsa (No. 38) and Wisconsin.
The Zips are coming off an eighth-place finish at the Second Annual Firestone Invitational on October 12. Junior Scott Landreth led Akron with a 10th-place finish after carding an even-par 216 (70-74-72). Freshman Charlie Bull earned a top-25 finish, recording a 4-over 220 (74-71-75) to finish in a tie for 22nd place.
For the fall season, the Zips have posted four top-10 finishes as a team. Landreth and senior Lucas Murray lead the squad with two top-10 individual finishes respectively.
Play is set to begin on Monday at 9 a.m. ET and will follow a shotgun start format for both rounds. The final round will be played Tuesday morning, with the shotgun start set for 9 a.m. ET. Follow all of the action live on the Internet via www.golfstatresults.com.
