Men's Golf Leads Memphis Intercollegiate Field After Day One

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -
The University of Akron men's golf team leads by four shots after the second round of the Memphis Intercollegiate at the par-72, 7,334-yard Colonial Country Club on Monday.
The Zips carded back-to-back rounds of 5-over 293 (586, +10) to pace the 15-team field. The University of South Alabama sits in second place with a score of 14-over 590.
Senior Lucas Murray ended the day in a tie for fourth place after posting an even-par 144 (71-73). Murray sits three shots behind tournament-leader Jack Hiluta (69-71=141, -3).
Freshmen Charlie Bull and Drew Czuchry carded two-round scores of 5-over 149 to finish in a tie for 24th place. Bull posted rounds of 69 and 80 while Czuchry shot rounds of 77 and 72.
Sophomore Cameron Simmons opened the day with a round of 4-over 76 before posting a 3-over 75 to finish tied for 32nd place (151, +7). Junior Ryan Mason concluded the day tied for 49th place after posting a two-round tally of 154 (81-73, +10).
