Murray And Patte Garner All-MAC Nods

AKRON, Ohio - After leading UA to its second
best MAC Championship finish in the history of the program, junior
Lucas Murray and senior Jacob
Patte were honored by the Mid-American Conference following the
conclusion of the regular season.
Murray, grabbing second team All-MAC honors, finished the year with
a team low 73.31 scoring average competing in all 36 rounds of play
this season. Posting nine top-25 marks including a first place
finish at the Xavier Invitational (Oct. 5-6), Murray finished first
for Akron at the championships and ninth overall carding a 297.
Posting a 76 and 78 after day one, Murray stepped up to card a 72
and 71 to finish his first MAC Championship.
Patte, the lone senior for UA posted a second best 74.54 scoring average on the year to garner MAC Sportsman of the Year honors. Finishing in the top-25 in six events this season, Patte concluded is career with a 19th place 303 (74-78-75-76) mark at the league championship.
As a team Akron carded a combined 1,196 through four rounds in the tournament. Continuing to improve each round UA posted a 306 and 302 during day one, a 295 for the third round and a 293 to wrap up the event at the par-72, 7,243-yard Longaberger Golf Club.
