June 28 | Men's Golf
AKRON, Ohio - Fourth year head men's golf coach Nick Goetze recently announced the addition of Charlie Bull to the 2010-11 roster. Graduating in 2009 from Bradfield College in the United Kingdom, Bull is a native of Wentworth, Berkshire in England and currently resides at Lake Nona in Orlando Fla.
"Charlie will be a very seasoned addition to the Zips golf team," said Goetze. "He is an experienced competitor and has played internationally as a junior and amateur player. His passion for the game paired with his excellent instructional background will serve him well as he enters the college game.
"In addition, the fact that he plays regularly with Justin Rose, Graeme McDowell and other successful PGA pros has helped him gain a valuable edge from a confidence standpoint. Overall, I am really excited about the fact that our golf program has attracted an accomplished player like Charlie."
This spring, Bull was honored as a Future Collegians World Tour
(FCWT) Jim McLean First Team All-American selection. On the FCWT
circuit, Bull earned one win, a runner-up finish and five other top
ten showings.
Successful as of late, Bull carded rounds of 78-67-73 (+2 over par)
for a fourth place mark in the Southern Junior Championship (June
