Men's Golf Continues Fall Slate at Mason Rudolph Intercollegiate

AKRON, Ohio – The University of Akron men's golf team ends its 12-day break when it travels to Franklin, Tenn., for the Mason Rudolph Intercollegiate on Friday at the par-71, 7,100-yard Vanderbilt Legends Club.
The three-round event will take place over the weekend, with 18 holes scheduled to take place on Friday through Sunday. Each round will begin with fixed tee times on first and tenth holes starting at 9 a.m. ET on Friday and Saturday, and 8:30 a.m. ET Sunday.
Six Top-100 teams in the Golfstat rankings are in the field, including the No. 98 Zips. Akron will face off against: Belmont, College of Charleston, Davidson, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, No. 64 Memphis, No. 52 Middle Tennessee, No. 59 Mississippi, No. 34 Oklahoma, Samford, South Carolina, No. 84 Vanderbilt (host) and Western Carolina.
Akron is coming off of a ninth-place finish at the Northern Intercollegiate on Sept. 11 in Sugar Grove, Ill. The Zips posted a three-round score of 909 (+57) to close out the first event of the year.
Sophomore Charlie Bull led the way for the Zips, finishing tied for 12th place with a score of 7-over 220 (71-76-73). He has now finished in the top-16 in each of the last four events dating back to last spring.
