NORMAN, Okla. – Former University of Akron golfer Scott Landreth and current senior Cameron Simmons were named 2012 Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of American (GCAA) on Wednesday.
A total of 146 student-athletes at the Division I level were honored by the GCAA, including nine players from Mid-American Conference institutions. "This prestigious award is a reflection on them as individuals and is a great recognition for the program and The University of Akron."
Landreth finished fourth on the team in scoring average (75.77) in ten events, recording three top-25 finishes.
