AKRON, Ohio – For the second time in three years, the Zips women's tennis team received the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team Award, while student-athletes Ksenia Berestetska, Madison Cohen and Signe Lazdina were recognized as ITA Scholar Athletes.
"We constantly talk to our student-athletes about committing themselves academically and athletically, and this wonderful honor shows that they do just that," Akron head coach Brandon Padgett said. "I am very proud of the team as a whole, as well as the individuals who earned this honor. They all worked extremely hard, and it is nice to see them rewarded for that."

To earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status, a player must be a letterwinner, have a GPA of at least 3.50 for the current academic year and have been enrolled at the institition for at last two semesters.
