Women's Tennis Hosts Akron Invitational

AKRON— Zips women's tennis returns to Ohio this weekend to host its own Akron Invitational at the LaTuchie Tennis Center in Stow.
The invite gets underway on Friday, Oct. 3 at 9 a.m. with singles matches between Michigan State and West Virginia. Doubles action begins at Noon with Akron taking on Michigan State, while Cornell faces West Virginia. At 1 p.m., Akron hosts Cornell in singles action.
On Saturday, Oct. 4, play resumes at 9 a.m. with Cornell facing West Virginia in singles. Doubles begin at Noon features Akron against West Virginia, and Cornell playing Michigan State. At 1 p.m., Akron hosts Michigan State in singles action.
On Sunday, Oct. 5, Cornell and Michigan State square off in singles at 9 a.m. In doubles action at Noon, Akron faces Cornell, while Michigan State plays West Virginia. The tournament concludes with singles play between Akron and West Virginia, beginning at 1 p.m.
All play is round-robin. No team scores will be kept.
