Baseball Alters Home-Opening Series

AKRON, Ohio – The University of Akron baseball team has altered the home-opening series this weekend against Eastern Michigan University. Akron will play a doubleheader vs. EMU on Friday starting at 1 p.m., and then will conclude the three-game set with a Saturday matchup at 1 p.m.
This will be Akron's first games against a Mid-American Conference opponent this season. The Zips went 10-16 within the MAC last year, collecting four series victories. UA is currently 7-8 overall this season, and will play at Ohio State on Tuesday and Pittsburgh on Wednesday before coming home for the series against Eastern Michigan.
