GEORGETOWN, Ky. – University of Akron freshman Chandler Morgan sits in a tie for third place after day one of the 2014 Kentucky State Amateur Championship at the Cherry Blossom Golf and Country Club.
Morgan posted a round of 4-under 68 and sits one shot off the lead. Morgan's round included five birdies and one bogey, including four birdies in a five-hole stretch to make the turn.
