Women's Tennis Readies for Buffalo Invitational

AKRON, Ohio – The University of Akron tennis team will be in Buffalo, N.Y. this weekend to participate in the UB Invitational at the University at Buffalo. The three-day event will be held on both the outdoor and indoor courts at the UB Tennis Center and the Miller Tennis Center.
Along with the host Bulls and visiting Zips, Cleveland State, Duquesne, Binghamton, and Niagara will also compete in the tournament that features five singles draws and three brackets of doubles. Matches will start at Noon on Friday while Saturday and Sunday's matches will begin at 9 a.m.
Four UA student-athletes are scheduled to compete this weekend, including Sophia Geier in flight A singles, Luisa Echeverry in flight B, Carla Flores in flight C and Waverly Wituski in flight D. Geier and Flores will pair up in flight A doubles and Echeverry and Wituski will join forces in flight B.
The Zips conclude their fall schedule at ITA Regional Championships on Oct. 22-27, hosted by the University of Michigan
