BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The University of Akron men's soccer team dropped a hard-fought 2-1 overtime decision to Indiana on Sunday (Nov. 24) in the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament.
How it Happened
Akron grabbed a 1-0 lead when redshirt senior Dyson Clapier (Layton, Utah) headed home his fifth goal of the season in the 31st minute (30:37), assisted by redshirt senior Victor Gaulmin (Guipavas, France).
The Zips maintained a 1-0 lead at the intermission after outshooting the Hoosiers in the initial stanza, 4-1.
Indiana responded to make it a 1-1 game on a goal from Justin Weiss at the 70:35 mark, assisted by Patrick McDonald.
The contest went into overtime where Jansen Miller's 100th-minute golden goal (99:04), assisted by Collins Oduro, gave the Hoosiers the victory.

- Freshman GK Brett Kaminski (Cooper City, Fla.) recorded one save for the Zips out of 13 total Hoosiers shots.
