Pair of Zips Garner CSC Academic All-District Men's Soccer Honors

AKRON, Ohio – The 2024 Academic All-District® men's soccer team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognized a pair of University of Akron men's soccer players in senior Jonas Buechte (Rantigen, Germany) and Wan Kuzri Wan Kamal (Carbondale, Ill.) for their achievements for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.
To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution. Student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games/contests/sets played OR must start in at least 66 percent of the games/contests/sets.
Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced December 11, 2024.
