2024 AKRON CROSS COUNTRY SCHEDULE
AKRON, Ohio -Â The University of Akron cross country team unveiled a challenging seven-meet schedule for 2024, one that includes the 55th Annual Tommy Evans Invitational on Aug. 30 at Silver Creek Metro Park in Norton.
The Zips open their fall campaign hosting the 55th annual Tommy Evans Invitational on Aug. 30 at Silver Creek Metro Park in Norton.
Two weeks later, Akron travels to Muncie, Ind., to compete at the We Fly Ball State Cross Country Challenge hosted by Ball State on Sept. 14.
On Oct. 4, the Zips head to Notre Dame, Ind., to run at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invite hosted by the University of Notre Dame.
Akron's final tune-up before the Mid-American Championships will be the Falcon Invite hosted by Bowling Green on Oct. 18.
The Zips then visit Muncie, Ind., for the MAC Championships on Nov. 2 as the Akron men seek to defend its 2024 team title, while the women's squad aims to earns its third team championship.
The Great Lakes Regional hosted by the MAC at Silver Creek Metro Park in Norton follows on Nov. 15.
Akron concludes its campaign traveling to Madison, Wis., on Nov. 23 for the NCAA Championships hosted by Wisconsin.
