JACKSONVILLE, Ala. - The Akron baseball team lost the second game of the series to Jacksonville State 10-0 on Saturday.
Evan Bottone and Max Bowman both recorded two hits to lead the Zips offense.
Jack Kelley (0-1) got the ball to start for Akron (2-3) and took the loss.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Akron managed zero chances with runners on third in the shutout, going a total of 0-for-9 with runners in scoring position. The Zips last got a runner on third in the eighth, when senior J. Poist made it 90 feet away from scoring with one out.
