Hinchcliffe Named MAC Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week

MID-AMERICAN CONFERENCE WOMEN'S LACROSSE PLAYERS OF THE WEEK RELEASE
CLEVELAND, Ohio – University of Akron sophomore Sienna Hinchcliffe (Rochester, N.Y.) was honored by the Mid-American Conference as its Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday (April 29).
Hinchcliffe spearheaded a second-half comeback that gave the Zips their first ever MAC regular season title netting three of her game-high six goals in the final half in a 14-12 victory over Robert Morris.
She equaled a career-high mark netting six goals, on the strength of a game-best 11 shots, including posting a career-high nine on goal.
With her second goal of the afternoon Hinchcliffe broke the single season record for goals scored (48) at Akron set by Alexis Kiefer during the 2021 campaign.
Additionally, she led the Zips with six draws controls to go along with one ground ball.
Akron returns to action battling Eastern Michigan in the semifinals of the MAC Lacrosse Championships on Thursday (May 1) at 4 p.m. in Moon Township, Pa.
