2024-25 CSC MEN'S ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT TRACK AND FIELD RELEASE | 2024-25 CSC WOMEN'S ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT TRACK AND FIELD RELEASE
AKRON, Ohio – The 2024-25 Academic All-District® men's and women's cross country and track and field teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognized University of Akron redshirt senior Hunter Garretson (Newcomerstown, Ohio), seniors Cassidy Allen (Lakewood, N.Y.), Grace Henderson (Rostraver Township, Pa.) and Joy Nwokike (Benin City, Nigeria), juniors Vanessa Horn (Ludwigsfelde, Germany) and Benjamin Hudak (Tallmadge, Ohio) and sophomores Majid Abuaun (Rocky River, Ohio), Jessica Mason (Holland, Ohio) and Christopher Vance (Parma, Ohio) for their achievements for their combined performances in their sport and in the classroom.
The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's and women's track& field honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution. Student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games/contests/sets played OR must start in at least 66 percent of the games/contests/sets.
