Akron Women's Soccer Commences Preseason Preparations for 2025 Campaign

AKRON, Ohio - The University of Akron women's soccer squad under the leadership of first-year interim head coach Maggie Kuhn opened preseason preparations for the 2025 campaign on Tuesday, July 29, as the squad went through the Zips' first training sessions of the season.

The squad welcomed 11 newcomers into the mix as the Zips went through a nearly two-hour training session on the Shrank Practice Field.
Akron takes to the pitch for the initial time on Aug. 5 when the Zips visit Oakland for the first of two exhibition matches before traveling to Cleveland State on Aug. 10 to round out the exhibition campaign.
The Zips will kick off its 25th season of intercollegiate women's soccer traveling to Purdue Fort Wayne for a non-conference showdown with the Mastodons on Aug.14 before opening their home campaign welcoming Eastern Illinois to FirstEnergy Stadium for a 1 p.m. tilt on Aug. 17.
Single-game tickets for the 2025 campaign go on sale on Friday (Aug. 1).
