October 05 | Men's Soccer
NEW YORK, N.Y. — Remi Agunbiade notched BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week honors after a spectacular performance against DePaul.
The junior powered the Zips' offense in their 2-0 victory, notching both goals in the match. It was the first multi-goal performance of any Zip this season, and he also had the fourth game-winner of his career. Last December, Agunbiade was drafted in the second round (58th overall) in the MLS SuperDraft by San Diego FC.
Agunbiade currently leads the Zips with three goals on the season. He is also the second Zip to earn Player of the Week recognition from the conference this season, with Brett Kaminski notching Goalkeeper of the Week honors back on September 14.
Agunbiade and the Zips will be back in action on Tuesday, October 6 as they host Syracuse in a non-conference match. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
