Akron Swimming and Diving Claims Fifth Straight MAC Title; 12th in the Past 13 Years

AKRON, Ohio - The Akron swimming and diving team captured its fifth consecutive Mid-American Conference Championship and the 12th in the past 13 years.
Akron claimed the 2026 Conference title with 771 points. Ohio took second with 559 points, while Ball State placed third with 500 points.
Elizabeth Noble was named the MAC Diver of the Year and was named to the All-MAC Second Team. Akron saw Helena Lalkovic, Felicia Klintemar, Claire Cox, Avery Knight, Callie Parkes and Ada Szwabinska named to the All-MAC First Team. Along with Noble, the Zips saw Elle Couture, Martyna Piesko and Madelyn Bosler named to the All-MAC Second Team.
The Blue and Gold started the final day of competition with a third-place finish from Couture in the 1650 Free (16:45.41). Knight and Piesko placed second and third in the 200 Back with respective times of 1:54.87 and 1:55.19.
The 100 Free featured Lalkovic and Szwabinska taking third and fourth with times of 48.93 and 49.21. Claire Cox earned a silver medal in the 200 Breast with a time of 2:12.64, while Klintemar took gold in the 200 Fly with a time of 1:58.75.
Noble earned a silver medal in the 3m dive with a score of 297.25. The relay squad of Lalkovic, Szwabinska, Parkes and Klintemar closed out the night with a gold medal in the 400 FR and a time of 3:14.92.
