Mercy Jebitok Earns MAC Women's Runner of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Mercy Jebitok has earned MAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week honors after a spectacular performance at Western Michigan's George Dales Invitational.
Making her season debut, the junior picked up right where she left off as she won the 6K race with a personal-best 19:52.1 and leading the Zips to a team victory. The race was held at The Prairies Golf Club in Kalamazoo where the MAC Championships will take place later this season.
Last season she was runner-up at the MAC Championships, placed sixth at NCAA Regionals and competed at the NCAA Championships.
Jebitok and the Zips will be back in action on Friday, October 2 at Notre Dame's Joe Piane Invitational.
