The University of Akron Athletics
To be eligible for membership on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee:
- Current University of Akron Athlete on NCAA sponsored Varsity Sport with the excepetion of Spirit Squad
- Must have, and maintain, a 2.75 Grade Point Average and be in good standing with the University.
- Must receive a recommendation and/or approval from their primary varsity sport’s coach(s)
Membership types:
- Executive Board: The board shall consist of seven officers: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Undergraduate Student Government Liason, Outreach Coordinator and Social Media Manager.
- Team Representatives: 2 representatives of a varsity team
Membership will be revoked by the organization under the following circumstances:
- If the student-athlete fails to remain in good standing with The University of Akron.
- If the SAAC member does not complete the responsibilities required of them herein by this constitution
- If the member has two unexcused absences from the SAAC meetings, determined by the SAAC Advisor.
