Elizabeth Schuett has been a member of The University of Akron athletic equipment staff since 1993, when she began working in the equipment room as a student assistant. Elizabeth is currently in her 23rd year having been named a full-time Assistant Equipment Manager at Akron in October 1999.

She oversees men’s soccer, women’s soccer, volleyball, women’s basketball, rifle, golf, men’s and women’s track, women’s cross-country, lacrosse, softball, baseball, cheer and dance. Additionally, she handles responsibilities for all equipment-related needs out of the three athletic equipment rooms on campus; Infocision Stadium, James A. Rhodes Arena and Stile Athletics Field House. She is responsible for the purchasing, stocking, transporting and maintenance of all her assigned athletic program’s athletic equipment while supervising her student staff.

A proud alumnus of The University of Akron, Schuett is a four-year letterwinner having played softball for the Zips (1993-97). Her brother played baseball for the Zips (1994-1998). She earned her bachelor's degree in elementary education, and a master's degree in instructional technology from the University of Akron.

Schuett and her husband, Brian (also an alumnus of Akron), have three children: Madeline, Lauren, and Andrew.
