Kyle Foster was named the head football equipment manager at Akron in August 2019. In 2021, he was named the director of equipment operations directly overseeing football and men’s basketball. Foster handles responsibilities for all equipment-related needs for football and oversees day-to-day operations of the Stile Athletics Field House and James A. Rhodes Arena. In addition, Foster works directly with Nike handling the teams needs, while also coordinating the extensive movement of equipment when Akron football hits the road.

A four-year letterwinner for the Zips (2014-18), Foster was a two-time Academic All-MAC selection and Dean’s List student. He finished his collegiate career appearing in 49 game, serving as the team’s holder for four seasons including two bowl appearances and one MAC Championship. He was a semifinalist for the Peter Mortell Holder of the Year Award three times.

A native of Parkersburg, W.Va., Foster earned a bachelor’s degree from Akron in sport management in May 2018 and a master’s degree in sport administration in May 2019. Kyle and his wife Madison (2015-18) University of Akron Swimmer and four-time MAC Champion, reside in Akron.
