CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The University of Akron (5-6) baseball team lost to UW-Milwaukee (3-5) by a final score of 10-4 on Saturday afternoon at Raymond C. Hand Park on the Austin Peay State University Campus.
"We were polar opposites from yesterday by not pitching ahead and not effective with our breaking pitches," Head coach Rick Rembielak said. "Offensively we chased too much out of the strike zone with their guy's breaking balls. We need to those two things better tomorrow and play effective baseball."

Senior Joe Cochran relieved Steensen out of the bullpen, and tossed 2.0 scoreless innings with a strikeout and two hits allowed. Freshman Josh Davis posted a scoreless inning in the ninth with two strikeouts, his second straight scoreless outing.
Akron added two late runs in the ninth on a an RBI double by Joey Havrilak and a run scoring single by Devan Ahart to bring the game to its final score of 10-4.
Overall, UA recorded nine base hits, led by Ahart and Meeker III with two hits apiece. Ahart is now on a streak of three multi-hit games, and has a total of six games with two hits or more in the Zips first 11 games.
