Williamsburg, Va. – The Akron Zips women's golf team fired a 642 (+66) and currently sits in fourth place behind a 150 (+6) performance from senior Danielle Nicholson (Geneva, Ohio) at the Kingsmill Intercollegiate on Monday.

Nicholson is currently tied for third on the players leaderboard at the par-72 River Course at Kingsmill Resort that stretches 6,025 yards. She opened the 54-hole event with a 76 (+4) tally and jumped five spots with a 74 (+2) during the second round to finish the 36-hole day at 6-over. Nicholson is five shots off the lead and only one stroke behind a second-place stalemate. Nicholson carded 18 par scores and seven birdies in 36 holes.

Also posting score inside the Top 15 was freshman Ivana Shah (Mumbai, India). Shah is currently tied at 15th overall with a 77-81 – 158 (+14) tournament total. Shah recorded 22 pars and one birdie.

Senior Makayla Dull (Fremont, Ohio), sophomore Abbie Pearce (Green, Ohio)  and junior Allyson Wentworth (Stewartsville, N.J.) rounded out the Zips' scoring. Dull posted an 85-81 – 166 (+22) score, while Pearce and Wentworth carded 81-89 – 170 (+26) and 84-88 – 172 (+28).

Seton Hall currently leads the 14-team field with a 301-313 – 614 (+38) team total. High Point and Pennsylvania are tied for second 625 (+49) while William & Mary and Akron 642 (+66) share the fourth spot.

Individually, Seton Hall's Mia Kness and Sarah Fouratt hold the first and second spots. Kness holds a four-stroke lead over the field with a 71-74 - 145 (+1) as Fouratt trails with a 72-77 - 149 (+5) ledger. Nicholson and Central Michigan's Danielle Sawyer are tied for third with 150 (+6) scores.
