Holland, Ohio – The Akron Zips women's golf team finished the 2022 Mid-American Conference Women's Golf Championships in third place with a 316-300-310 – 926 (+62) tournament total at the Stone Oak Country Club hosted by Toledo on Sunday.

Three of Akron's golfers landed in the Top 15 as sophomore Jennifer David (Hudson, Ohio) finished fifth overall followed by junior Ivana Shah (Mumbai, India) in 11^th and sophomore Jessica Hahn (Canton, Ohio) in 13^th. David paced the Zips' scoring with a 76-74-77 – 227 (+11) tournament total, while Shah and Hahn registered   80-74-77 – 231 (+15) and 80-75-77 – 232 (+16) 54-hole totals, respectively. David was named to the MAC All-Tournament eam.

Rounding out Akron's scoring were graduate Ke'Asha Phillips (Owensboro, Ky.) and junior Jacinta Pikunas (Youngstown, Ohio). Phillips carded a 236 (+20) total and Pikunas tallied a 245 (+29) score.

No. 43 ranked Kent State claimed the MAC team title with a 296-294-299 – 889 (+25) and Northern Illinois finished runner-up with a 305-298-304 – 907 (+43) ledger. NIU's Jasmine Ly captured the 2022 individual MAC championship with a 1-under par 54-hole performance (69-73-73 – 215) and KSU's Chloe Salort was runner-up with a 73-72-74 – 219 (+3) total.

The 2022 MAC Championships concludes the Akron women's golf 2021-22 campaign.
