Akron Earns Strong Performances at Falcon Invitational

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The University of Akron cross country team turned in strong individual performances to highlight the efforts of the Zips at Falcon Invitational hosted by Bowling Green on Friday (Oct. 18).
Sophomore Titus Kirui (Eldoret, Kenya) crossed the line first in the men's 8K race in a time of 25:29.4, while sophomore Mary Munga (Nyandarau, Kenya) led the Zips in the women's 6K race with a time of 20:48.6.
Akron returns to competition traveling to Muncie, Ind., for Mid-American Conference Cross Country Championships on Nov. 2.
