Hahn, Vora Lead Zips at Spring Break Shootout

Dade City, Fla. – The Akron golf team posted a 602 (+34) after 36 holes of the Spring Break Shootout hosted by Western Kentucky at Lake Jovita Golf Club – South Course (Par 71 – 6,056 yards) on Monday.
The Zips posted a 306 (-22) first round total and shaved 10 strokes off the second round effort for a 296 (-12) team total.
Prior to the event of junior Daphne van Son withdrew from the tournament due to injury as freshman Katrin Horn Danielsdottir filled the fifth position.
Senior Jessica Hahn and sophomore Hridhika Vora led the scoring for Akron as both players carded 149 (+7) totals throughout 54 holes. Hahn recorded scores of 75 (+4) and 74 (+3), while Vora registered 74 (+3) and 75 (+4) totals. Sophomore Avery Wright followed with a 150 (+8) ledger, while senior Abbi Fleiner and Danielsdottir added 154 (+12) and 179 (+22) ledgers, respectively.
