ZIPS NAME TRIO TEAM CAPTAINS FOR 2025:
The Akron senior trio of Noelle Boyd (Murrysville, Pa.), Jaelyn Clinkscales (Rochester, N.Y.) and Bryanne Harner (Friendswood, Texas) will serve as the Zips' captains for the 2025 campaign.
SCOUTING AKRON:
Sophomore Sienna Hinchcliffe (Rochester, Minn.) leads the Zips in goals (6), points (8), shots (15) and shots on goal (12). Noelle Boyd paces the squad in draw controls (9), while ranking second in shots (9) and ground balls (5). Juniors Heather Carey (Williamsville, N.Y.) and Katie Baumer (Rochester, N.Y.) direct the team in assists (3). Senior goalkeeper Hannah Sanders (Massillon, Ohio) has registered 15 saves and a team-high seven ground balls.

SCOUTING XAVIER:
Akron is meeting Xavier for the second time in program history. The Musketeers posted an 4-11 record in 2024, including a 0-5 mark in the BIG EAST Conference. Junior Lola Mancuso is the leading returning scorer for Xavier this season after registering 41 goals, nine assists and 50 points on the strength of 87 shots, including 74 shots on goal, while adding 27 draw controls and 17 ground balls. Junior goalkeeper Teegan Lannon and sophomore Jada Brandon combined to collect 61 saves en route to posting 17.11 and 15.54 goals against averages, respectively. Xavier is led by third-year head coach Meg Decker, who owns a 8-21 ledger as a head coach for the Musketeers and is 10-65 in her seventh season as a head coach. The game also marks the return of redshirt senior Julia Frombach, who played for the Zips from 2020-23.

A goal by Sienna Hinchcliffe lifted Akron to a come-from-behind 11-10 triumph at Xavier on March 2, 2024.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Trailing 10-4 midway through the third period, the Zips garnered seven unanswered goals to secure the road victory over the Musketeers.
• Noelle Boyd and Hinchcliffe led Akron's offensive attack with four and three goals, respectively.
• Jacqueline Glassey earned a game-high three assists in the affair.
• Boyd, Hinchcliffe, junior Kellen Fletcher (Valencia, Pa.) and senior Graceann Schwab (Rochester, N.Y.) registered eight, five, four and four shots, respectively, for the Zips, including six and five shots on goal from Boyd and Hinchcliffe.
