Hall, Rasheed and Taponen Earn CSC Academic All-District WBB Accolades

AKRON, Ohio – The 2024-25 Academic All-District® women's basketball team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognized University of Akron women's basketball players seniors Emily Hall (Phoenix, N.Y.) and Zakia Rasheed (Avon, Ind.) and junior Liisa Taponen (Tampere, Finland) for their achievements and combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.
To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution. Student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games/contests/sets played OR must start in at least 66 percent of the games/contests/sets.
