AKRON, Ohio -Â The University of Akron lacrosse team welcomes Robert Morris to InfoCision Stadium-Summa Health Field for a Mid-American Conference showdown for Senior Day on Sunday (April 27) at 1 p.m.

PARKING UPDATE: Akron lacrosse fans are encouraged to park in Lot 6, 9 and 10 (Surrounding the Field House off Vine and Union Streets) for this weekend's lacrosse match. Parking in other lots without appropriate UA permit is subject to ticketing by parking services. Please enter through the main doors to field house off South Union Street.

MAC TITLE ON THE LINE:
With a victory over Robert Morris on Sunday (April 27) the Zips will earn a share of their first-ever Mid-American Conference regular season title. If Akron triumphs over the Colonials and Central Michigan defeats Detroit Mercy, the Zips will win a four-team tiebreaker and host the MAC Lacrosse Championships starting on Thursday (May 1). All other scenarios will result in the Zips traveling to Moon Township, Pa., for the tournament against a yet to be determined opponent.

EIGHT ZIPS TO HONORED ON SENIOR DAY:
Akron will recognize eight Zips on Senior Day prior to the squad's match with Robert Morris on Sunday (April 27). The group of Noelle Boyd (Murrysville, Pa.), Jaelyn Clinkscales (Rochester, N.Y.), Bryanne Harner (Friendswood, Texas), Kylie Harris (Lake Norman, N.C.), Chloe Herrera (Houston, Texas), Hannah Sanders (Massillon, Ohio), Graceann Schwab (Rochester, N.Y.) and Antonia Trickett (Cleveland, Ohio) will don the Blue and White one final time when Akron hosts the Colonials

The Akron senior trio of Noelle Boyd, Jaelyn Clinkscales and Bryanne Harner will serve as the Zips' captains for the 2025 campaign.

SCOUTING AKRON:
Sophomore Sienna Hinchcliffe (Rochester, Minn.) leads the Zips in goals (47), points (59), shots (112) and shots on goal (85). Noelle Boyd paces the squad in assists (21), draw controls (67) and in ground balls (34). Junior Katie Baumer (Rochester, N.Y.) directs the team in caused turnovers (20). Goalkeeper Hannah Sanders has registered 112 saves and a team-high 34 ground balls.

SCOUTING ROBERT MORRIS:
Akron is meeting Robert Morris for the eighth time in program history. The Colonials enter their showdown with the Zips at 7-9 on the campaign, including 4-1 in the Mid-American Conference, following a 17-6 victory over Mercyhurst on April 23. Senior Jenna Irwin directs Robert Morris' offensive efforts pacing the squad in goals (40), shots (73), shots on goal (63) and draw controls (70), while ranking second in points (49). Senior goalkeeper Sydney Riker has collected 109 saves and 23 ground balls on the campaign en route to posting a 12.11 goals against average. Robert Morris is led by second-year head coach Courtney Grove, who owns a 15-21 ledger as a head coach for the Colonials and is 147-123 overall in 16 years as a head coach.

Akron battled Robert Morris into triple overtime before the Colonials escaped with a 10-9 victory over the Zips in the Mid-American Conference opener for both teams on March 17, 2024, in Moon Township, Pa.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Noelle Boyd directed Akron's offensive attack registering a game-high four goals, while Jacqueline Glassey collected a team- and game-best four assists.
• Macy Vail added a pair of goals, while junior Heather Carey (Williamsville, N.Y.), Sienna Hinchcliffe and Kaija Kunttu each added a goal for the Zips.
• Boyd, Hinchcliffe and Vail registered a game-high five shots apiece for the Zips, including four shots on net. Boyd also pulled in seven draw controls.
• Antonia Trickett tallied four ground balls, while Hinchcliffe posted a team-best two caused turnovers.

Eastern Michigan tallied five unanswered goals in the final period to register a come-from-behind 16-12 triumph over Akron on Sunday (April 20).

• Sienna Hinchcliffe scored a team-high four goals on the strength of a team-best seven shots, all on goal. Hinchcliffe is now one goal shy of equaling the single-season record for goals of 48 set by Alexis Kiefer during the 2021 campaign.
