FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The University of Akron women's soccer team battled Purdue Fort Wayne to a 0-0 draw on Thursday (Aug. 14).
How it Happened
Akron recorded 17 shots in the contest, including eight on goal. The Zips faced 12 Mastodon shots, seven of them on goal. Junior goalkeeper Sara Bower (Cincinnati, Ohio) led Akron with seven saves en route to collecting the shutout.
Senior Emma King (Akron, Ohio) posted a game-high five shots, with all five falling on goal.
