Men's Basketball Announces 2025-26 Mid-American Conference Schedule

AKRON, Ohio - The Akron men's basketball team will once again have its sights set on Mid-American Conference titles as the conference office announces the 2025-26 conference slate on Thursday, August 21.
Winning their third MAC Tournament Title in the past four seasons during the 2024-25 campaign, which includes back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances, the Zips open MAC play with Eastern Michigan at James A. Rhodes Arena on December 19.
The Zips will also host Central Michigan (Jan. 6), Ball State (Jan. 13), Western Michigan (Jan. 17), Toledo (Jan. 27), Kent State (Jan. 31), UMass (Feb. 14), Buffalo (Feb. 24) and Northern Illinois (Mar. 6) while traveling to Miami (Jan. 3), Bowling Green (Jan. 10), Buffalo (Jan. 20), Ohio (Jan. 24), Eastern Michigan (Feb. 3), Western Michigan (Feb. 17), Ball State (Feb. 21), Kent State (Feb. 28) and Central Michigan (Mar. 3).
Akron begins the 2025-26 season with the MAC-SBC Challenge on November 3, when James Madison comes to the JAR. Other notable non-conference matchups include Princeton at the JAR (Nov. 8), Purude on the road (Nov. 16), the Virgin Island Paradise Jam (Nov. 21-24), Milwaukee at the JAR (Nov. 29) and the Jack Jones Classic against Murray State in Henderson, Nev., (Dec. 13).
