AKRON, Ohio - The University of Akron women's basketball team will host Sun Belt Conference opponent Louisiana as the Mid-American Conference announced the second leg of the 2025-26 MAC-SBC Challenge on Tuesday (Jan. 6).
The Zips will square off against Rajin' Cajuns at 12 p.m. on Saturday (Feb. 7) at James A. Rhodes Arena.
The MAC-SBC Challenge -- a scheduling alliance in the sports of men's and women's basketball -- that is in its third season with 13 MAC men's basketball programs visiting 13 SBC teams, while the league's 13 women's basketball programs hosting the 13 SBC teams.
Current NET rankings, projected season finish, and previous cross-conference contests were all considered when making the pairings.
