Zips Unleash 21 runs, Five Home Runs in Win at Ohio

ATHENS, Ohio - The Akron baseball team scored 21 runs in seven innings, featuring five home in the opening game of the series against the Ohio Bobcats on Friday.
Prince DeBoskie hit two of those home runs, finishing the day with three hits and five RBI. Brady Bowen went 4-for-4 with a home run, a double, five RBI and one walk. Brody Chrisman added a 3-for-4 night with a home run, four runs, two RBI and two walks. Easton Amundson went 3-for-6 with a home run, six RBI and two runs. Tucker Biehl went 2-for-4 with a double, two runs and a walk.

Elijah Griffith (3-2) got the win for Akron (18-24, 8-14). The right-hander went six innings, giving up four runs, one earned, on six hits, allowing two walks and striking out seven.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Zips scored in six different innings on the way to the win. Akron broke a 0-0 tie and took the lead for good at 1-0 in the second inning on Bowen's leadoff home run off of Mason Gass.
