Brody Chrisman and Blake Bowen Earns All-MAC Honors

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Akron baseball team saw two players earn all-conference honors, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday, May 20.
Brody Chrisman was named to the All-MAC First team. He becomes the second first-team selection under head coach Bryan Faulds. Chrisman entered the top 10 for single-season hits (76), home runs (13) and RBI (52). He finished the season hitting .355, 53 runs, 14 doubles, a slugging percentage of .603, an on-base percentage of .453 and 23 stolen bases in 55 appearances and starts. On defense, he made 88 putouts while contributing four assists from the outfield and held a perfect fielding percentage.
Blake Bowen was named to the All-MAC Second team and All-Defensive Team. Bowen hit .291 in 52 appearances and starts. He added 42 runs, 51 hits, 13 doubles, seven home runs, 26 RBI, while producing a slugging percentage of .486 and an on-base percentage of .488. He also set the single-season record for walks (60). He finished the season with a fielding percentage of .996, recording 259 putouts and 23 assists, while making just one error in 283 chances.
