Zips Place Five Players to the CSC Academic All-District Softball Team

GREENWOOD, Ind. - Five members of the Akron softball team were named to College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team as announced on Tuesday, May 26.

Seniors Meagan Lee and Brooke Sivek along with juniors Delaney Jenkinson, Macy Walters and Sophia Wygast represented the Akron Zips for the 2025-26 Academic All-District® Softball Team.

The Academic All-District® Softball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's swimming & diving honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution. Student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games/contests/sets played OR must start in at least 66 percent of the games/contests/sets.
