As a Redshirt Senior (2015): Third-team All-MAC … recipient of the John Heisman Award … played in 11 games with 10 starts … eight starts were at left tackle and two at right tackle … all five starters have started a combined 121 starting nods between them … Akron’s run blocking and pass protection schemes elevated the offensive production this season … the Zips averaged 164.8 yards per game on the ground, 41.1yards better than last season … the Zips rushed for 2,143 total yards, exceeding year’s season total of 1,484 (after just 10 games) … the O-Line allowed eight fewer sacks.

As a Redshirt Junior (2014): Returned to the offensive line... appeared in all 12 games with 11 starts, three at right tackle and eight at left tackle ... made first collegiate start in the season opener ... gave up no sacks in the win over Howard.

As a Junior (2013): Redshirted.

As a Sophomore (2012): Switched from offensive to defensive line ... played in 11 games ... started three games at defensive tackle ... starter at Ohio, versus Northern Illinois, and at Central Michigan ... posted 13 tackles (four solo) over the season ... made three stops at Ohio and had two solo tackles against Bowling Green.

As a Freshman (2011): Played in 11 games on the defensive line ... was not in the lineup versus FIU ... credited with 13 tackles ... posted a season-high four stops twice, at Cincinnati and versus Kent State ... helped out on a tackle-for-loss at Cincinnati and at Eastern Michigan.

High School: A three-year starter at John Adams HS who was named to the All-State team ... as a senior, posted 30 tackles, including 18 solo, seven tackles for loss, and five sacks ... named to the East-West All Star Game ... also participated in basketball and track.
