Junior (2008): A versatile back, can perform just as well at tailback as he does as a “traditional” fullback ... Played in 11 games, missing the Syracuse game due to injury ... Had 14 carries for 67 yards, averaging an impressive 4.8 per carry ... Saw extensive action at Army, rushing five times for 23 yards with a career-long run of 13 yards ... Also, with injuries to Alex Allen and Andrew Johnson, played a lot versus Cincinnati ... Gained 21 yards on four carries (4.1 avg.) and caught his first pass of the season, an eight yarder.
Sophomore (2007): Played in all 12 games, getting four starts but serving as the starting fullback … Averaged 3.4 yards on his 16 rushes (55 yards) … Also caught six passes for 36 yards … Had a five-yard reception at Ohio State, which went for a first down – one of Akron’s two third down conversions in the game … Rushed a career-high six times for 16 yards at Connecticut … Grabbed a career-high four passes for 25 yards versus Central Michigan ... Named a Scholar-Baller for posting at least a 3.0 GPA for the 2006-07 academic year.
Redshirt Freshman (2006): Played in all 12 contests, splitting time as the Zips’ No. 1 fullback … Did not have a rushing attempt … Caught one pass for five yards at Ohio … His blocking helped Dennis Kennedy, who rushed for 914 yards, earn All-MAC at running back.
