2021: Appeared in all 12 games for the Zips, including one start...recorded 11 tackles on the campaign, including five solo stops, six assisted tackles, one sack and 1.5 tackles for a loss...tallied a sack, while also adding a forced fumble in Akron’s win over Bryant (Sept. 18)...registered a season-best four-tackle performance, including a half tackle for a loss, against Ball State (Nov. 2)...earned a pair of solo tackles at Western Michigan (Nov. 9)...added single tackles in road games at Bowling Green (Oct. 9), Miami (Oct. 16) and Toledo (Nov. 27), as well as at home versus Kent State (Nov. 20).

2020: Appeared in all six games for the Zips...recorded four tackles on the campaign, including three solo stops...tallied a two-tackle performance in Akron’s victory over Bowling Green (Dec. 5)...added solo tackles at Ohio (Nov. 10) and versus Miami (Nov. 27).

2019: Academic All-MAC...Dean’s List...played in 10 games with one start at tackle...earned the starting nod at Illinois...had a solo stop at Miami...at Northern Illinois, had two tackles...at UMass, had a solo stop...started at Illinois but recorded no stats.

2018: Redshirted...played in two games...had a solo tackle...Rise and Shine Award recipient.

PRIOR TO AKRON: Two-way standout for coach John Ruane at Penn-Trafford HS...played center and nose tackle...three-year starter...helped team to Class 5A WPIAL playoffs three times...as a junior, had 43 tackles and eight sacks...as a sophomore, team went 12-1 and reached the WPIAL 4A championship game...also played baseball.

PERSONAL: Pursuing a master’s degree in sport science/coaching after earning a bachelor’s degree in sport management...nickname is Bubba...son of Stuart and Dana Hawkins...has a sister Amara.
